Characteristics

SUS430 is a ferritic stainless steel with exceptional resistance to corrosion and combustion. Because of its high corrosion resistance and machinability, the material is used in ornamental applications for structures, kitchens, etc. Its hardness can be improved to an appropriate level by cold working, but the material cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
